The city of Delaware is located about 30 miles north of downtown Columbus. Delaware county has been the state's fastest growing county for more than a decade and is among the top-20 fastest growing, wealthiest and most educated area in the nation.

It is home to the new Polaris Fashion Place, the Columbus Zoo, and of course The Little Brown Jug. The Little Brown Jug is one of the premier events in harness racing that is held every year at the Delaware County Fair during the third week of September.

The level of academic excellence has earned OWU the recognition as on the the 80 top liberal arts colleges in "America's Best Colleges" listing. It is alo on the the "Best College Values" among the top 40 in the nation.
